We all know what it sounds like. The critical voice that questions every decision, second-guesses every success, and whispers “maybe I’m not ready” when opportunity knocks. But here’s what changes everything: making the worth shift. It’s the moment you stop listening to that inner critic and start trusting the voice that got you this far—the one that knows your value isn’t up for debate.
Often we doubt our value and ask, “Why would anyone want to talk to me?” even when our achievements speak volumes. But when you step into your power and show up with authenticity and conviction, the game changes.
It’s time to stop questioning your worth and start embracing it. Own your capabilities with conviction and stop seeking permission. Your pricing should reflect mastery, not fear of losing a client. The clients who align to your pricing are the people that you want to serve and the people that value you. It’s about positioning yourself as the expert that you are.
So here’s my challenge to you. What’s one action you can take this week to show up in your power? Maybe it’s that phone call you’ve been avoiding, saying no to an opportunity that doesn’t fit, or finally having that brave conversation. Whatever it is, seize it. You’re not here to be affordable and blend in with the crowd. You’re here to be bold, brilliant, and powerfully unforgettable.

Hello, hello, and welcome back to another episode of Unleashing Brilliance.
Speaker:It's wonderful to have you here, and today's episode is a big one.
Speaker:It's a powerful one, and if I'm honest, it's also deeply personal
Speaker:because we're talking about worth.
Speaker:I'm talking about your worth.
Speaker:I'm talking about how you show it, how you protect it, and
Speaker:how you lead with it
Speaker:especially when the world around us is so noisy and chaotic and tell
Speaker:you you to do the exact opposite.
Speaker:Now, if you followed me for a while, you've probably heard me
Speaker:talk about my eldest son Flynn.
Speaker:Flynn is now 21, but I still remember that cheeky, deep thinking little boy who
Speaker:wouldn't eat his lunch until the last.
Speaker:Piece of his jigsaw was perfectly placed.
Speaker:This was the kid who would clinging to me at daycare at drop off when I
Speaker:was trying to leave to go to work.
Speaker:And this is the boy, the little boy who would build Lego spending time
Speaker:drawing or reading instead of kicking the footy around like everyone else.
Speaker:You know, he's always.
Speaker:Dance to the beat of his own drum.
Speaker:And that's something that I really love about him.
Speaker:But like so many people during the pandemic, COVID hit him really hard.
Speaker:He was in his final years of school here in Australia.
Speaker:We call it the HSC here in New South Wales.
Speaker:And if I'm really honest,
Speaker:Those last couple of years for him were brutal.
Speaker:He lost his confidence.
Speaker:He lost his drive.
Speaker:We weren't pushing him for perfect marks to, because to be honest,
Speaker:we just wanted him to finish.
Speaker:We wanted him to still be here.
Speaker:You know, it didn't help that he was doing creative subjects.
Speaker:Those subjects that actually require a little bit of motivation of inspiration
Speaker:to be able to do those large, big projects that are part of the final results.
Speaker:There was nothing creative for him sitting in his room, being confined with very
Speaker:little, input from a creative perspective.
Speaker:And as I said, we just wanted him to still be here at the end of those school years.
Speaker:And he did.
Speaker:He finished, just, and he didn't have any uni plans, no big dreams.
Speaker:And so he said, come on mate, you gotta get a job.
Speaker:And he did with his thank you for opportunity attitude that I've taught him.
Speaker:And I've, if you look back at some of these past episodes, I talk about the
Speaker:thank you for and how important it is.
Speaker:He actually secured a casual job.
Speaker:A high-end fashion retailing chain, and he was one of the first
Speaker:of his age to actually be hired there, which was really awesome.
Speaker:Now, fast forward a couple of years and that creative spark
Speaker:started flickering again for him.
Speaker:It was fashion, it was buying, it was brand building.
Speaker:This is the kid who used to lie on the floor at Target, pairing outfits for fun.
Speaker:You know, we suddenly saw the light, fire up again.
Speaker:We suddenly saw that fire in his belly take off.
Speaker:And what he did at the time is he applied for a uni.
Speaker:Degree, and he was accepted into a fashion and brand management course.
Speaker:he was one of only a few boys that actually became part of that cohort,
Speaker:and once again, Flynn didn't care.
Speaker:Then came his second year of uni and the opportunity for an internship,
Speaker:and he started a six month internship at an online fashion retailing brand.
Speaker:And a new boss started who became a mentor of his, A man who Flynn admired.
Speaker:He was successful, creative, a family man.
Speaker:Flynn was inspired by the journey of this guy and how he developed
Speaker:his own career, and we were talking about it over dinner one night.
Speaker:I said to Flynn, reach out, ask him for advice, and Flynn looked at me and said,
Speaker:"Why would he want to talk to me?"
Speaker:Sound familiar because that doubt, that internal voice that
Speaker:tells us we are not enough.
Speaker:I hear it all of the time.
Speaker:It's not just a teenager thing.
Speaker:I see it in boardrooms.
Speaker:I hear it from business owners.
Speaker:I feel it from women who are exceptional
Speaker:and yet they question their worth
Speaker:every single day.
Speaker:But with a little, little nudge from me.
Speaker:Mm. Let's be honest, maybe it was a bit of a push.
Speaker:I encouraged Flynn to reach out with a message.
Speaker:The message that Flynn sent was one of, Hey, I really love what you're doing.
Speaker:I'm wondering if you'd fancy having a coffee with me, because
Speaker:I'd love to ask you, what advice would you give someone like me
Speaker:wanting to build a career in buying?
Speaker:A week later, the coffee happened, and after that, the boss actually said to
Speaker:him, Hey, Flynn, you do know there's some job opportunities opening up here.
Speaker:Flynn applied months into his internship, Flynn had an interview with
Speaker:three general managers on the panel.
Speaker:He prepped like a pro.
Speaker:We even brought in one of my inner circle alumni who ran a mock interview and gave
Speaker:me a couple of tips around questions.
Speaker:Flynn got the job.
Speaker:The HR director said to him, we've never done this before, but
Speaker:you stood out, Flynn, you took the initiative, you followed up.
Speaker:"We saw the person that you are" now, here's the lesson here.
Speaker:It's not just about.
Speaker:Proud mama moments.
Speaker:Although I have to say I've got a few of those right now.
Speaker:Flynn didn't stand out because of his grades or a polished
Speaker:resume or a linear path.
Speaker:He stood out because he trusted himself.
Speaker:He reached out as petrified as he was, as nervous as he was, as much as
Speaker:there was so much self-doubting going on.
Speaker:He reached.
Speaker:He asked the question, he showed up with heart, with humility and with
Speaker:conviction, and that is the shift that I wanna talk about today, the worth
Speaker:shift, because in a world that's loud and fast and obsessed with more, the
Speaker:businesses that are thriving, they're not the loudest, they're the clearest.
Speaker:The boldest, the most unforgettable.
Speaker:There's a slide I use in my keynotes at the moment and it always
Speaker:lands with a bang, and it says,
Speaker:You are not here to be affordable.
Speaker:You are here to be unforgettable.
Speaker:because here's the thing,
Speaker:too many of you are shrinking.
Speaker:You are discounting, you are chasing, you are hustling harder, not because
Speaker:it works, but because you are afraid of what might happen if you stop.
Speaker:Now, I've been thinking a lot about this lately, and as I'm reflecting,
Speaker:as I've been reflecting on Flynn's journey over the last six months,
Speaker:it got me thinking about physics.
Speaker:Now I know I know a little bit crazy, but bear with me because.
Speaker:Thinking about physics, there's two things that To both get something moving
Speaker:and to keep something in momentum in physics force is what gets something
Speaker:moving the hustle, the action.
Speaker:But it's power that sustains it.
Speaker:Power is the energy behind movement.
Speaker:It's the thing that keeps you going with intention and impact.
Speaker:And when I look around right now, what I'm seeing in business is a
Speaker:whole lot of force in the marketplace.
Speaker:The frantic proposals, the panicked price cuts, the saying
Speaker:yes to everything mindset.
Speaker:It's draining.
Speaker:It's reactive and it's short term.
Speaker:It is not sustainable because force will burn you out.
Speaker:It also attracts the wrong clients and it disconnects you from your true value.
Speaker:If we think about power, on the other hand, that's a different kind of energy.
Speaker:Power is grounded.
Speaker:It's internal, it's full of conviction.
Speaker:It's knowing what you bring and it's about
Speaker:showing up like it matters
Speaker:if you've been attracting the wrong people.
Speaker:If you've been doubting your value, diluting your message, if you've
Speaker:been working harder and earning less, then you don't need to work harder.
Speaker:You need to step into your power.
Speaker:You need to do this worth shift.
Speaker:So today I want you to make this shift.
Speaker:I want you to shift from force, from push, from pull, from hustle.
Speaker:To conviction around power for stepping into it from this
Speaker:groundedness, this conviction, this, this grace, this wonderful courage.
Speaker:I want you to think about moving from reactive to intentional,
Speaker:from affordable to unforgettable.
Speaker:Here's how it's about owning your worth with conviction and
Speaker:stopping asking for permission.
Speaker:I want you to start claiming your value.
Speaker:It's about protecting your energy.
Speaker:We wanna take price off the table so that you lead with impact and in the
Speaker:knowledge of what it is that you do and the shift that you make for other people.
Speaker:It's about attracting clients who get it.
Speaker:Those clients that align to your pricing are the people that you want
Speaker:to serve and the people that value you.
Speaker:And it's about positioning yourself as the expert that you are.
Speaker:Because you've earned this, you pricing your worth has to reflect your mastery.
Speaker:And it's about creating space for strategic growth.
Speaker:I'm talking
Speaker:more margin, more clarity and more brilliance.
Speaker:Here's the thing, the moment you stop questioning your worth and start
Speaker:leading with it, absolutely everything changes like it did for Flynn.
Speaker:The moment he stopped questioning his worth, he stepped into his conviction.
Speaker:He reached out, he asked for help.
Speaker:He turned up with courage and bravery.
Speaker:That is the moment everything changed.
Speaker:So here's your challenge for this week.
Speaker:What is one thing?
Speaker:What is one action that you can take this week to show up in your power?
Speaker:Is it about making that phone call saying no to a misaligned opportunity?
Speaker:Is it about having the bravery to have that conversation?
Speaker:Whatever it is, take it.
Speaker:Please, if you've loved this episode, tag me, share the episode with someone
Speaker:else who needs to hear it today, and I'd love you to leave a review because
Speaker:that's the way that we get these messages out wider and broader, and remember.
Speaker:You are here because of the work that you do.
Speaker:This is about you owning your worth
Speaker:and the very impact that you are here to make.
Speaker:Because you are not here to be affordable.
Speaker:You are here to be unforgettable.
Speaker:Until next time, stay bold, stay brilliant, and stay in your power.
Speaker:I'll see you next week.
