How I Run My Week Like a Queen: My Power-Packed Workweek Blueprint for Entrepreneurs

Let me ask you this: who’s genuinely in charge of your week? Is it you, your clients, your inbox or that pesky calendar dictating your every move? I bet many of you can relate to the chaos that ensues when our weeks are hijacked by everyone else’s demands. Suddenly, we’re not leading our businesses or growing; we’re merely surviving. But here’s the truth: if you don’t own your time, someone else will and that’s not the path to build brilliance or scale sustainably.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing how I structure my working week to shatter that cycle, featuring the four critical ingredients every week needs. Spoiler alert: your calendar could very well be your ultimate business strategy. So grab a cuppa or a glass of pinot, and let’s go.

The Wake-Up Call

Five years into my business, while on the outside everything looked perfect—jam-packed calendar, fantastic clients, even globe-trotting gigs—the reality was different. I was in full-on delivery mode, feeling invincible, until I hit a wall. The silence was deafening when I realised there had been no outreach, no nurturing of the pipeline. I had crafted a beautiful but brittle business that was on the brink because I’d let other people’s priorities dictate my week.

I’ve heard it before from my own clients, the sinking feeling when the delivery ends and there’s no pipeline waiting in the wings. Scary as it was, this was my wake-up call: I needed to dedicate time to sell consistently.

Carving Out a Queen’s Week

Here’s the structure that brought my business back to life. Each week, I ensure that my time is apportioned to four core areas: thinking, selling, delivering and caring. Miss out on any one of these, and your business is bound to suffer.

– Monday: The week kicks off with admin, momentum and mastery. This is my grounding day, no delivery, just setting the tone: syncing with my team, cleaning the inbox chaos and strategising the week’s game plan.

– Tuesday: This day belongs to my Elevate and Inner Circle clients. It’s sacred, reserved for high-level coaching and ensuring transformative experiences through big visioning and breakthrough strategies.

– Wednesdays and Thursdays: Core delivery days. These are the hitters—speaking gigs, corporate gigs, workshops. This is when I’m fully on stage, delivering with all I’ve got.

– Friday: My week wraps up with a power half-day with the morning devoted to loose ends and afternoons fiercely protected for self-care—my time to recharge, whatever form that takes each week.

And let’s not forget the bookends of my days are all about self-care. Mornings are dedicated to exercise and a slow start, while evenings are screen-free and reserved for personal connections.

The Power of Reflection

Every week concludes with a reflection ritual. I ask myself, “Did I think like a CEO, sell like a strategist, deliver like a rockstar and care for myself?” This reflection isn’t about perfection but about realigning and nurturing those essential areas.

Your Regal Challenge

So, here’s my challenge to you: grab your diary, be it paper or digital and audit your week. Ask yourself where you’re creating space to think, sell, plan delivery and most critically, where’s there time for you? If any category is missing, that’s your nudge to shift and claim your crown back.

Remember, this structure doesn’t box you in. It liberates you, creating sustainability and space to grow, allowing you to reign supreme in your business and life. You deserve to run your business like the sovereign queen you are.
