How I Run My Week Like a Queen: My Power-Packed Workweek Blueprint for Entrepreneurs

In this episode, we’re tackling the ultimate question: Who’s really running your week? If you’re caught in the cycle of reactive business management, constantly responding to everyone else’s demands, this episode is your wake-up call.

I share my personal wake-up moment – when a packed calendar and global clients masked a brittle business without a sustainable pipeline. This led to developing a game-changing weekly structure that transformed my business and could do the same for yours.

I share the exact framework I use for structuring my week, breaking down each day and the tasks assigned to them. We’ll also explore the four key elements every week needs to ensure your business continues to thrive sustainably.

My challenge to you? Audit your calendar against these four essential elements and see where you’re creating space for them. It’s time to claim your crown and run your business like the business queen you are.

Hello there,

Janine:

and welcome back to

Janine:

Unleashing Brilliance.

Janine:

It's so good to be

Janine:

in your ears again.

Janine:

Whether you are walking

Janine:

the dog hiding from your

Janine:

inbox, or sipping a well

Janine:

deserved glass of Pinot, I

Janine:

see you and I salute you.

Janine:

Today we're diving into

Janine:

something really juicy,

Janine:

something deceptively simple.

Janine:

But if you get this right,

Janine:

it's a game changer.

Janine:

I'm talking about how I

Janine:

structure my working week

Janine:

and let me tell you, I get

Janine:

asked about this all the

Janine:

time, so I thought I'd share

Janine:

it here and more importantly,

Janine:

share why it matters so much.

Janine:

Because the question to

Janine:

actually ask yourself

Janine:

is this, who is really

Janine:

running your week?

Janine:

Is it you or is

Janine:

it your clients?

Janine:

Is it your team?

Janine:

Is it your inbox?

Janine:

Is it your calendar pings,

Janine:

or whoever's actually

Janine:

yelling the loudest, and

Janine:

I see this all the time,

Janine:

especially in brilliant

Janine:

women building businesses,

Janine:

the calendar gets hijacked,

Janine:

the priorities get flipped.

Janine:

Suddenly your week is packed

Janine:

with delivery, with admin,

Janine:

reacting to client demands and

Janine:

emergencies that are coming

Janine:

into your inbox, left, right,

Janine:

and center, and you end up

Janine:

not actually leading at all.

Janine:

You are chasing, you're not

Janine:

actually growing at all.

Janine:

You're simply surviving.

Janine:

And what I know is that

Janine:

if you don't own your

Janine:

time, somebody else will.

Janine:

And I just wanna be blunt

Janine:

for a second with a whole

Janine:

heap of love wrapped around

Janine:

this bluntness my friends,

Janine:

that's not how you're

Janine:

gonna build brilliance.

Janine:

That's not how you

Janine:

scale sustainably.

Janine:

And it's certainly how

Janine:

we ultimately burn out.

Janine:

So today I wanna share

Janine:

how I structure my working

Janine:

week to avoid that cycle.

Janine:

I wanna share with you

Janine:

the 4 critical ingredients

Janine:

that every single week needs

Janine:

and actually why your

Janine:

calendar is your best business

Janine:

strategy, and how this simple

Janine:

shift can give you clarity,

Janine:

clients and peace of mind.

Janine:

So let's go.

Janine:

Now, in all honesty, I

Janine:

learned this all the hard way.

Janine:

I'd say about five

Janine:

years into my business.

Janine:

I really hit a wall

Janine:

from the outside.

Janine:

Business looked brilliant.

Janine:

I was being booked solid

Janine:

with keynotes, with

Janine:

workshops, with coaching.

Janine:

I was in full delivery.

Janine:

Mode, the calendar, it was

Janine:

packed, absolutely jam packed.

Janine:

Awesome clients traveling

Janine:

around the country,

Janine:

traveling around the world.

Janine:

It was brilliant.

Janine:

The calendar was packed.

Janine:

The energy was full throttle.

Janine:

I was on fire.

Janine:

I loved it.

Janine:

But then it all ended not

Janine:

in a dramatic, you know,

Janine:

flames and fire came away.

Janine:

Just silence because I'd been

Janine:

so stuck in delivery that I

Janine:

hadn't actually been selling.

Janine:

There'd be no outreach.

Janine:

There'd be no nurturing,

Janine:

not even a cheeky, just

Janine:

checking in kind of message.

Janine:

I was so deep in the

Janine:

work that I totally

Janine:

neglected the pipeline.

Janine:

So when that delivery

Janine:

cycle actually wrapped

Janine:

up, zero pipeline.

Janine:

Zero clients and

Janine:

hello, welcome.

Janine:

The chunky revenue dip.

Janine:

Hello, the vomit

Janine:

inducing list of bills.

Janine:

And no clue where the next

Janine:

bit of cash was coming from.

Janine:

And I know, 'cause I've

Janine:

heard it from my own clients

Janine:

that some of you might be

Janine:

feeling this exact same

Janine:

thing, that sinking feeling.

Janine:

I know it well.

Janine:

And I see it all the

Janine:

time in the women that

Janine:

I work with and that I

Janine:

coach, especially in those

Janine:

early stages of business.

Janine:

You know, we finally land

Janine:

the clients, we get busy with

Janine:

delivery and we forget to

Janine:

keep that pipeline flowing.

Janine:

But if you wanna build

Janine:

consistency and not live

Janine:

in that terrifying feast

Janine:

or famine kind of zone,

Janine:

you've got to block time

Janine:

to sell from day one.

Janine:

That was my wake up call.

Janine:

I realized that I'd built this

Janine:

beautiful business that I was

Janine:

about to break through neglect

Janine:

because I'd let other people's

Janine:

priorities run my week.

Janine:

And honestly, it

Janine:

was terrifying.

Janine:

And here's what really hit

me:

i. I wasn't leading

me:

my business at all.

me:

I was trapped inside it.

me:

I had become the busiest

me:

little worker bee

me:

buzzing from one thing

me:

to the next, delivering,

me:

delivering, delivering.

me:

But I'd completely

me:

forgotten that.

me:

I'm also the Queen Bee.

me:

I.

me:

The visionary, the architect,

me:

the leader who needs to

me:

guide the whole hive.

me:

And let me tell you, when

me:

the Queen Bees calendar

me:

is out of whack, the

me:

entire hive gets messy.

me:

Well, mine certainly did,

me:

and that was my wake up call.

me:

I realized that I'd built this

me:

beautiful business that I was

me:

about to break through neglect

me:

because I'd let everyone

me:

else's priorities run my week.

me:

I was reacting

me:

and not leading.

me:

So I decided I needed to

me:

blow it up, not the business.

me:

you are every

me:

single one of them.

me:

You are all of them.

me:

I had to blow up the diary.

me:

Now I want you to think

me:

about this for a second.

me:

In any successful company,

me:

there are entire teams

me:

dedicated to each area,

me:

teams dedicated to strategy

me:

teams dedicated to sales.

me:

teams dedicated to people

me:

and wellbeing and admin.

me:

But you, my fabulous

me:

business owner, you are

me:

every single one of them.

me:

You are all of them.

me:

and unless you give each of

me:

these business units time

me:

in your week, thinking,

me:

selling, delivering.

me:

Caring.

me:

You are either gonna

me:

burn out or you're

me:

gonna stall, or both.

me:

So how do I avoid that now?

me:

Well, I've built my week

me:

around those four core areas,

me:

and if you take nothing from

me:

this episode, take this.

me:

Every single week must

me:

include time to think,

me:

time to sell, time to

me:

deliver, and time to care.

me:

Make sure you write that down.

me:

Every single week must include

me:

time to think, to sell,

me:

deliver, and time to care.

me:

That's it.

me:

That's the framework.

me:

It sounds simple and it is,

me:

but it's also incredibly

me:

powerful because if you don't

me:

make time for one of those

me:

areas, your business suffers.

me:

For example, if you

me:

ignore selling, say

me:

goodbye to future clients.

me:

If you skip that thinking

me:

time, say hello to idea

me:

and innovation Stagnation.

me:

And they neglect delivery,

me:

well, you know how that ends.

me:

And if you ditch care,

me:

you burn out and fast.

me:

So here's how I do it.

me:

I wanna give you the

me:

structure that I use in

me:

my week, how I structure

me:

every single working week.

me:

So my Mondays is all about

me:

admin, momentum and mastery.

me:

This is my grounding day.

me:

No delivery at

me:

all on a Monday.

me:

Instead,

me:

Mondays are about setting

me:

the tone for the week.

me:

I check in with my team.

me:

I clear out that inbox chaos.

me:

I check my cash flow

me:

and my pipeline and my

me:

reports, and I schedule

me:

the micro actions that are

me:

going to create the macro.

me:

Results.

me:

This is where my strategy

me:

gets locked in and it's

me:

where chaos gets locked out.

me:

I make sure Mondays is the

me:

day that is going to move me

me:

forward throughout the week,

me:

and not just me, my team, too.

me:

Tuesdays is all

me:

about my Elevate and

me:

inner circle clients.

me:

This is where the magic

me:

of elevate and inner

me:

circle It's sacred space.

me:

For my high level

me:

coaching, I give my premium

me:

clients my best energy.

me:

This is about being

me:

fully present.

me:

It's about big visioning.

me:

It's about

me:

breakthrough strategy.

me:

I want you to think of

me:

this as transformation

me:

meets tactical brilliance.

me:

No distractions.

me:

Pure value on my

me:

core client base.

me:

They get all of

me:

me on a Tuesday.

me:

My Wednesdays, and

me:

my Thursdays are then

me:

my core delivery days.

me:

These are the days that

me:

are open for my clients and

me:

other clients to book into.

me:

these days are my

me:

big hitter days.

me:

This is where you'll

me:

see speaking gigs.

me:

Corporate work, private

me:

client mentoring work,

me:

big room workshops.

me:

These are my onstage time

me:

when I'm in full flow

me:

and I'm showing up big.

me:

And then if we move on

me:

to Friday, Friday, I

me:

have a power half day.

me:

The morning is

me:

about wrapping up.

me:

It's about tying

me:

up loose ends.

me:

It's maybe a bit of

me:

invoicing, clearing my inbox.

me:

The afternoon is mine.

me:

I try.

me:

Very hard to the majority

me:

of the time, protect

me:

the afternoon as mine.

me:

I protect it like

me:

a fierce lioness.

me:

This is my time for

me:

walks, massages.

me:

It might be reading,

me:

it might be nothing.

me:

It might be catching up with

me:

friends, whatever it is that

me:

I need to recharge for myself.

me:

I try and put that into

me:

my Friday afternoon.

me:

Now, it's not every

me:

single Friday.

me:

But my intention is every

me:

single Friday and it's

me:

the majority of Fridays.

me:

And here's the other thing

me:

I do every single day is

me:

bookended with self-care.

me:

So from 6:00 AM to

me:

8:30 AM that's my time.

me:

This is the time for my.

me:

Morning routine where

me:

I get up, I exercise.

me:

It's about a slow bre.

me:

It's about me enjoying my

me:

first cup of fresh coffee

me:

that I actually enjoy making.

me:

It's about slowly

me:

getting ready.

me:

I start my mornings

me:

slowly, and the

me:

evenings are sacred too.

me:

This is screens off

me:

phone down, and human

me:

or family connection.

me:

Time on.

me:

And the other thing I do

me:

is that every week ends

me:

with a reflection ritual.

me:

I in with those four buckets

me:

and I ask myself, did I

me:

think like a CEO this week?

me:

Did I sell like a strategist?

me:

This week, did I deliver

me:

like a rockstar this week and

me:

did I care for me this week?

me:

And once again, it doesn't

me:

happen all the time

me:

perfectly, but every single

me:

week I reflect on those key

me:

questions of did I think,

me:

did I sell, did I deliver

me:

and did I care for me?

me:

And if any are empty,

me:

I ask myself why.

me:

And I plan.

me:

Shift.

me:

Now I get that.

me:

For some of you, this

me:

structure may feel like

me:

a bit of a constraint

me:

For me, it's not.

me:

I see it as a framework, a

me:

framework around which I can

me:

focus and have the time and

me:

the space to identify the gold

me:

within that particular bucket.

me:

For me, it's a container for

me:

my brilliance, and I think

me:

that this can be a container.

me:

For your brilliance.

me:

It's what allows me to run as

me:

the queen, be in my business,

me:

to run the hive with power,

me:

with purpose, and with peace.

me:

So here's what I want

me:

you to do this week.

me:

I want you to grab your

me:

calendar, grab your diary.

me:

I want you to open it up and

me:

whatever you use, whatever

me:

it is, whether it's paper

me:

based, whether it's online

me:

based, I want you to look at

me:

it and I want you to audit it.

me:

I want you to look at

me:

that week ahead and ask

me:

yourself, where am I

me:

making the space to think?

me:

When am I actively selling?

me:

How am I planning my

me:

delivery time without

me:

letting it dominate?

me:

And finally.

me:

Where is the care for me?

me:

Where is the white space, the

me:

breath, and the space to be?

me:

And if even one of

me:

those areas is missing,

me:

that's your invitation.

me:

That's your nudge to shift.

me:

Because when you create

me:

structure, you create

me:

sustainability, you create

me:

sanity, and you, my friend,

me:

create the space to grow.

me:

So do this for you not because

me:

it's trendy, but because

me:

you deserve to run your

me:

business and your life like

me:

the queen bee that you are.

me:

You deserve to run your

me:

business and your life in this

me:

way, to enable your clients

me:

to thrive, and to enable your

me:

team and the important people

me:

around you to thrive as well.

me:

If this resonated.

podcast more than you know.

me:

You might even get a

me:

little cheeky shout

me:

out from me next week.

me:

Please share this with

me:

me:

founders that are currently

me:

stuck in survival mode.

me:

Let's try and start this

me:

movement of us running

me:

our time and running our

me:

businesses in our way.

me:

And until next time,

me:

lead with purpose.

me:

Protect your time like a

me:

Rebel and Reign, like the

me:

amazing queen and business

me:

person that you are.
