You’re Not a Prompt – You’re the Magic

Let’s just say it – AI’s having its moment.

Everywhere you look, there’s another hack, another productivity cheat code, another “shortcut” to building your business without breaking a sweat.

But what no one wants to admit – when you rely on AI to do your thinking, your writing, your strategy… you’re not shortcutting. You’re disappearing.

In the pursuit of productivity, suddenly you’ve given away your competitive advantage.

Sales stagnate.

Your message gets murky.

And all that positioning work you did becomes null and void.

So, how do you become human again? Well, you put in the effort.

Be In Your Business
If your business isn’t worth your effort, that’s no longer an issue of AI; it’s an issue with your business.

Why did you go into business in the first place?

For many of us, it was to make a difference. We saw something within our communities that didn’t feel right, and we decided we’d had enough. I’m not saying that business will always feel easy, but if you dread waking up on Monday morning, then it’s time to make changes.

Business shouldn’t be lonely.
Business shouldn’t feel soul-crushing.
Business SHOULD be supporting your lifestyle, allowing you to connect with those in your life who matter most. Both inside and outside of work.

AI doesn’t replace you in your business, and if you’ve been letting it call the shots, then it’s time to get back in control.

If you need some help bringing your business to life again, then join me on the 8th and 9th of December in Sydney for the Elevate Matermind. I’ve only got 2 guest tickets left and doors close tonight. Reply with “GUEST” and I’ll send you details.

Find Your Magic
What makes you different?

Do you disagree with some key figures in your industry? And why?

Your point of difference is the magic that brings your positioning to life. This gets lost when you outsource your voice. Sure, it might give you a good starting point, but if you don’t usually use the word ‘delve,’ then maybe it’s not the word that you should post.

Your unique perspective, your IP, and your care for your clients are things that AI can’t duplicate with 100% accuracy.

This year, I feel like I’ve been screaming “POSITIONING!” every chance I get. Yet, time and time again, I see once brilliant voices dulled until they become unrecognisable from the sea of beige AI posts because, after seeing the same thing over and over again, even we begin to be unable to distinguish what is truly ours.

When was the last time you created a post from scratch? If you aren’t sure, then maybe it’s time to give it a try. It might take a while as the creative muscles fatigue easily, but I can guarantee it’s worth your time to find your voice and your magic again.

Realise the AI Isn’t Always Making It Easier
After doing the above, you might realise that creating from scratch actually becomes faster than prompting an AI app, waiting for it to send you an answer, prompting again because it wasn’t quite right, and then giving up and re-editing the first response you got because AI can’t replace you, unless you let it.

Every week, I set time aside for thinking and creativity, because I know that my best work, my IP, is what my clients are interested in. Not only that, but I also spend time connecting with my clients, listening to them and brainstorming solutions, and those are things I will never outsource, because as soon as I do, I’m handing over the secrets of my business one prompt at a time.

It can sometimes feel like you’re screaming into the void as fewer and fewer humans post online.

But I promise, real people are out here, and they’re waiting for your magic.
