Not your average clients. Your best ones – the ones who pay well, stay long, refer often, and make the work feel worth it.
I’ve asked this question in rooms full of experienced consultants, advisors and coaches for years. And the answer is almost always the same.
Sometimes from a cold lead who found you through content or a referral from someone they’d never met. But more often than you’d think – from a past relationship reactivated, a referral from someone who already trusted you, or someone who’d been watching quietly and finally raised their hand.
And yet. The vast majority of lead generation advice is built almost entirely around attracting strangers. Grow your audience. Build your list. Run ads. Post consistently. Get in front of new people. Repeat.
Nothing wrong with any of it. But if your best clients have come from warm, not cold, why are you pouring most of your energy into cold?
Inside every business – no matter the size, the niche, the revenue level – there are actually three distinct markets. Most people focus on one and leave the other two almost completely dormant.
The first is your Goldmine.
The clients you already have, or have had. People who’ve experienced your work firsthand, trust your thinking, and would likely engage again – if someone gave them a reason to. When did you last proactively reach out to a past client with something genuinely useful? Not a pitch. Not a check-in. Something that actually moved them forward?
Silence does not mean disinterest. It usually just means no one followed up.
The second is your Reputation System.
Referrals. The warmest leads you will ever receive because someone else has already done the trust-building for you. But referrals rarely happen by accident. They happen because you ask. Because you stay visible in the relationships you’ve already built. Because you make it easy for people to champion you.
How many referral partners in your world have gone quiet simply because the relationship has drifted? When did you last ask for a referral?
The third is your Visibility Engine.
New audiences, new reach, new people discovering you for the first time. This matters – genuinely. But it’s also the slowest, most expensive, and most unpredictable of the three. The most expensive lead you will ever chase is a cold one. A stranger who has to discover you, like you, trust you, and decide you’re worth the investment – from scratch. Every step of that takes time, energy, and usually money.
Most advice tells you to market harder. But authority creates demand. Marketing just chases it. And there’s a significant difference between the two.
So if the Visibility Engine needs the most effort and delivers the least certainty – why is it where most advice tells you to focus first?
Meanwhile, your next $50k, $100k, $200k is probably already sitting in your Goldmine and your Reputation System. In your database. In your DMs. In the relationships that have quietly gone warm while you’ve been busy trying to attract strangers.
This is what The MicroGift™ is designed to fix.
It’s the strategy I’ve been running inside Elevate and my Inner Circle – a small, precise, genuinely useful piece of your IP sent personally to the right people across all three markets at the right time. Not a mass email. Not a campaign. A human touchpoint that opens a real conversation.
Sarah – a client working with large manufacturing businesses – sent three messages using this strategy. All three responded. One re-engaged as a client. One referred two people. One booked a discovery call. Three messages. No pitch. No funnel. No ad spend.
Positioning matters more than platforms. The MicroGift™ is positioning in action – it demonstrates your expertise, builds trust, and starts the conversations that convert without a single cold pitch.
I know there are people in my world, reading these emails right now, who could use this strategy today. You don’t need more content advice or a new funnel. You need one small, deliberate move that opens real conversations with people who already trust you.
So I’ve decided to make The MicroGift™available this week only – outside of Elevate, where it normally lives – for $97. Everything you need to activate all three markets and have real conversations in motion this week.
HERE are the details.
Closes Friday.
