What I Can’t Tell My Girlfriends…

Ever feel like nExperience the isolationobody quite grasps the journey you’re on?

It’s a common experience for many successful women in business. As we rise, we often find ourselves outgrowing old connections or opportunities and seeking new networks that truly see, hear, and celebrate our achievements.

The path to success can be a lonely one. As we evolve and pursue our goals relentlessly, we may lose touch with friends and acquaintances who can’t relate to our drive and ambition. It’s a tough reality, but one we must face with courage.

In my own journey, I’ve experienced the isolation that comes with success. As a woman running a thriving business, I’ve encountered scepticism and misunderstanding from those around me. They don’t comprehend the late nights, the early mornings, or the sacrifices we make to pursue our dreams. This lack of understanding can leave us feeling alienated and disconnected.

But amidst the loneliness, there is hope. We have the power to curate our circles and surround ourselves with like-minded individuals who lift us and inspire us to keep going. Whether it’s joining mastermind groups, attending networking events, or seeking out mentors, there are opportunities to find camaraderie and support.

It’s not just about having people around us; it’s about having the right people around us. We need friends who share our vision, who understand our struggles, and who celebrate our successes without envy or judgement. These are the relationships that sustain us on our journey and make the climb to the top a little less lonely.

When my Inner Circle community catches up and we have a win to share that we feel we can’t share with our friends, we introduce the #whatican’ttellmygirlfriends session. It helps us create a safe space where we can openly share our wins, the exciting things we are doing, the “can’t believe I’ve just bought this for myself” moments, the insane holidays we’ve booked or the time and energy we are putting into passion projects. We share our challenges and aspirations without fear of being misunderstood. It’s a reminder that we’re not alone in our experiences and that there are others out there who get it because they are on the same journey. We choose to celebrate each other and be the shoulder of support when times are tough.

So, if you’re feeling isolated on your path to success, know that you’re not alone.

Reach out, connect with others who understand, and join a community that supports you every step of the way. Together, we can break the silence and create a world where no woman feels lonely on her journey to brilliance.
