When Confidence Meets Opportunity
My eldest son, Flynn, taught me something significant about worth. Struggling through the final years of school during the pandemic, his confidence took a hit. But then, something remarkable happened — a creative fire ignited. The boy who once paired outfits for fun at Target found his spark in fashion and brand management. He applied for uni, landed a high-end internship, and with a little nudge from me, reached out to a mentor for advice on how to get into the industry.
He was nervous and didn’t think this person would give him the time of day. But he reached out anyway and he landed an incredible job.
Owning Your Worth
I see this same thinking in women all the time. Often we doubt our value and ask, “Why would anyone want to talk to me?” even when our achievements speak volumes. But, like Flynn, when you step into your power and show up with authenticity and conviction, the game changes.
It’s time to stop questioning your worth and start embracing it. Own your capabilities with conviction and stop seeking permission. Your pricing should reflect mastery, not fear of losing a client. The clients who align to your pricing are the people that you want to serve and the people that value you. It’s about positioning yourself as the expert that you are.
Your Worth Shift Challenge
So here’s my challenge to you. What’s one action you can take this week to show up in your power? Maybe it’s that phone call you’ve been avoiding, saying no to an opportunity that doesn’t fit, or finally having that brave conversation. Whatever it is, seize it. You’re not here to be affordable and blend in with the crowd. You’re here to be bold, brilliant, and powerfully unforgettable.
